Romain Jerome whose novelties always strike imagination has recently presented a great new watch model – the Steampunk watch that is inspired by steam-engine. For more than a year Yvan Arpa has not been an employee of Romain Jerome, however, his ideas are implemented in all new models of the brand. The Steampunk watch that was developed under auspices of Manuel Emch has no tourbillion, the tourbillion is replaced by the VI numeral. Thus the model became much more affordable than other brilliant watch models by Romain Jerome. Like all other Romain Jerome models, this one has second hand at 9 o’clock. The new model is large at 50 mm wide. The bezel of the model is made of oxidized metal. The watch features screws that go deep into the dial. The screws resemble steam engine pistons.
The watch is equipped with automatic RJ001-AS movement with power reserve of 42 hours, frequency of 28 vph and 23 jewels. The case of this watch goes with the Titanic DNA theme. The Romain Jerome Steampunk model is made of stainless steel with black PVD coating. Water resistance – 30 m.
Romain Jerome releases truly amazing watches that always catch attention of those who love everything that is unusual and exclusive. Apart from the brilliant Steampunk timepiece the brand offers many other watches that do strike imagination, such as, for instance, the Moon Invader Eminence Grise Chronograph that also was presented in 2010. This chronograph is dedicated to the endless efforts of humans to explore the nearest Earth satellite. The watch has a multi-layered dial with mesh pattern that creates a high-tech screen effect that has never been used in the watch industry. There are hand-applied, polished and drawn inner bezel rings that are openworked and coated with Superluminova that creates luminescent effect. The case of the watch measures 46 mm in diameter. It is made of stainless steel with PVD coating. Among functions there are hours, minutes, seconds and chronograph. The timepiece is equipped with manual-winding movement with 23 jewels, 28, 800 vph frequency and 42 hour power reserve. The timepiece comes in a limited edition of 1,969 pieces.

Tissot introduced the first mass-produced pocket watch and the first pocket watch with two times zones in 1853 and the first anti-magnetic watch in 1929-30.
